Why does the gold rate change daily?
Gold prices are determined by global commodity markets (MCX, COMEX). Factors like USD/INR exchange rate, global demand, central bank policies, and geopolitical events affect daily gold prices.
Is the rate on this page the same as purchase price?
No. The displayed rate is the base metal rate per gram. Your jewellery purchase price will include making charges (artisan fees), wastage, and 3% GST on the final amount.
What is the difference between 22K and 24K gold?
24K gold is pure gold (99.9%). 22K gold means 22 parts gold and 2 parts alloy, making it more durable for jewellery. Most Indian jewellery is 22K (91.6% pure).
